How to get to Mona

By plane

By plane

"If you arrive by plane, you can fly into Geneva, Zurich, Bern, or Basel airports.

Geneva is our closest airport. Direct trains to Montreux leave Geneve airport every two hours. You can also rent a car. Whether by train or car, the journey takes about an hour.

From Zurich airport, you can rent a car or hop on a train for Lausanne, from where you switch onto a train bound for Montreux, Brig, or Simplon. It takes just under three hours by train and 2.30 hours by car to get to Montreux from Zurich.

Smaller in size but equally well connected, Basel and Bern also have international airports to fly into. From Basel, it takes about 3 hours to get to Montreux by train. From Bern, about an hour."
By foot

By foot

From the Montreux train station, you're only a five minute walk from Mona. When you exit the station, you will see a flight of stairs ahead of you across the road. Take them down toward the lake.

Once at the bottom, turn right. You should see us from a distance! It's hard to miss our 16 floors. If you have luggage, there's an elevator that can take you down to the lake road. Just turn left after exiting the station and follow a blue line painted on the ground until you arrive at the Irish Pub. The elevator is on your right.

If you prefer to enter Switzerland by train, we recommend coming through Paris or Milan. It's just over four hours with the TGV Lyria from Paris and three hours with the Pendolino train from Milan.

A crossroads of culture, Switzerland is easily accesible by car. Enter from France via Geneva on the A1, from Italy via Simplon on the A9, or from Germany via Basel on the A2 before switching to the A12. One thing to note: it is mandatory to pay for a 'vignette' in order to use the Swiss motorway. All other roads are free of charge. A vignette costs CHF 40.00 and is valid for one year, from January 1st until December 31st.
